at a glance
praia do forte is definitely worth a visit for anyone seeking to experience some history of this part of brazil, in addition to seeing a rare and perfect view of the sugar loaf and copacabana.

next to the praia do forte, normally reserved for use my officers of the army, there is the tiny 'praia do soldato' (beach of the soldier)  that local say is in fact used mostly by simple army men.

the fort is normally open to the public on saturday, sunday, and holidays between 9 am and 4 pm, however schedule may vary and more information can be obtained by calling 21 2711.0566 or 21 2711.0462.   arrow-back     arrow-forward
