many celebrities and the wealthy journey to the beach to avoid any unwanted attention, as the 150 meters of the beach certainly offers solitude. on the weekend the place becomes more crowded, as the city empties and revelers rush to grab a space at the prainha car park - which can only accommodate about 200 cars. the park resides in the shadows of caeté, boa vista, and pedra dos cabritos mountains. situated in the prainha municipal natural park (pnm), prainha has managed to maintain a high level of preservation and cleanliness over the years and much wildlife can be seen.
