the trail starts from praia barra de guaratiba and connect these untouched beaches in this order:  praia dos búzios, praia do perigoso, praia do meio, praia funda, and praia do inferno.  

praia do meio is reachable via an additional 25 minutes hike along 500 meters of trail from praia do perigoso.     

along the way, it is also possible to reach the top of the pedra do telégrafo (hill of the telegraph), a hill nearly 400 meters high (1,300 ft) that rewards hikers with some spectacular views of the coast.
