part of the the grumari natural reserve park (reserva ecológica de grumari), this is a 300 meter (900 ft) beach of soft white sand and crystalline waters still inside rio's city boundaries, yet still wild, undeveloped, and away from everything.

surrounded by thick flush vegetation and steep slopes on all sides, praia funda is a tropical paradise with beautiful colors surrounding fine white sand, rich of shells and sea life.
