mostly during the months of april to august, natural pools of water form along this beach. the part of the beach divided by some rocks towards leblon beach, is called cantão (big corner) and it is a good snorkeling spot with plenty of marine life. there are only two small kiosks to attend the needs of people on this beach, no lifeguard on duty, no public sporting facilities, and no public bathrooms.
