on the right side of the beach there is a military club, the clube militar da praia vermelha, home to a unique restaurant open to the public. 

in addition to a spectacular view of the sugar loaf, it has live music on friday and saturday nights.

red beach is a quiet beach not normally used for public or cultural events, however every monday, wednesday and friday night at 9 pm the movimento artístico da praia vermelha  plays samba and choro right on the promenade.
