the beach varies in width up and down the
coast, and it is not normally used for leisure, exception made
for some fishermen who use the local rocks to gather with their
friends and fish in good company.
perhaps the greatest asset of this beach is
the view of the
hills from the protected area of brisas (area de protecão
ambiental das brisas), and of the bay at night, when the coast
lights up.
the beach is
distinguished by small, rustic fishing boats floating in the
waters of the sepetiba bay, as well as the presence of a statue of the orisha
(african deity) iemanjá or yemanjá.
