the presence of many kiosks, bars, and sea-food restaurants make the beach popular after sunset as well for couples seeking a romantic spot. on week-ends, loud music is played at the kiosks, mostly funk and hip-hop, turning the entire beach in a social setting and a very lively street party, attended by people from many of the surrounding neighborhoods. many fishermen live in this region, and their boats are often stationed not far from the beach, giving the entire area a picturesque character.
