in 1998 it won the access group c title, with the theme 'candonga, goodbye to the drums' and the following year was runner-up in the access group b, with the theme 'long live the baixada, long strides of progress towards the third millennium'.

in 2000, the school took park in the access group a (série a) parades for the first time and with a theme about the city of petrópolis it took fifth place.

for the next twelve years the samba school moved back and forth between access groups a and b until 2012 when it won the access group a for the first time under carnival director/designer wagner gonçalves, and proceeded to the special group the following year.
