history would repeat itself in the early 1970s, when after winning another vice-championship the school would be promoted and then demoted in the very next year - in 1979 it would fall even further down back into the fourth division, where it stood for a few years before finally earning its first championship, in 1982.

in the decade that followed the unidos would jump back and forth between the third and the fourth divisions before finally settling in the fifth in 1995, an historical low point in its history.

yet, that wouldn't be the lowest point as the school's poor results would keep repeating themselves for a few years, with the eventual fall into the sixth division in 2004.
