at a glance

from these roots a group of enthusiasts led by genésio da cruz neves created the unidos, which was officially registered as a samba school in 1957. 

the red and white colors adopted by the school were also those of a local factory which donated all the cloth they needed to participate in the parades, the bangu, owned by guilherme da silveira filho.

they were also linked to the bangu soccer club, so their adoption was meant as a tribute to the community the unidos represented - this goes to show how intertwined the samba school was, and still is, with the local community. arrow-back      arrow-forward
