The works of many talented artists  populate the northern region of rio de janeiro, especially in the Projeto GaleRio: an outdoor Graffiti Gallery. in celebration of Graffiti Day, celebrated on Thursday 27th March, the Instituto EixoRio (EixoRio Institute), in inhaúma, launched the GaleRio project, which will be the largest open air gallery in the world.

Educators and members of the community have every hope that the gallery will inspire and influence young people and broaden their cultural horizons, seeing in graffiti the opportunity to introduce artistic language into young people's lexicon and lives.
