The bohemian and eclectic region of
Lapa, which bustles with
electric energy every night of the week, is home to several
important pieces of graffiti.
One striking panel, entitled
'Bambas da Lapa', situated in front of the majestic
Arcs of the
viaduct, depicts a riotous scene of quintessential carioca
characters playing snooker, drinking, smoking, and looking
fierce.
It was produced by some of the biggest names in carioca
street art, as part of an initiative to reinvigorate the
district.
