this ultimately fostered a new fashionable trend of using stylish garments in addition to the swimsuit-only design - this also generated many local brands to create stylish beach clothes such as dresses, shorts, and shirts - leaving one's home with their swimsuits, now also included extra fabric.

though beach fashion changed, many  people, particularly the elderly, can still be seen walking around beach-sided neighborhoods wearing sungas and bikinis on the streets, perhaps on their way to or from the nearby strand - they cherish the practicality of this trend and can generally be seeing drinking a juice at some of the more informal locales such as corner juice bars.
