at a glance

one of the most fun and interesting things to do in rio de janeiro is interacting with the locals. called 'cariocas', the city's inhabitants are an infinite source of wisdom, humor, and information - not to mention great people to befriend in general.

cariocas as a whole are great communicators, it is easy to interpret their emotion just by looking at the body language, hearing the tone of voice, or observing gestures, however, it does take more than this to maintain a proper conversation.

extremely friendly in general, cariocas tend to start random conversations with just anyone or anywhere - waiting for a bus, in a bar, or even just waiting to cross the street at a red light.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
