Established in 2002, the Projeto Oficina do Outeiro is a non-governmental organization located in Laranjeiras, which aims to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged youths in Rio, by equipping them with a creative artistic education.

Co-ordinated by entrepreneur and artist, Marcia Limani Baumgarten, the school uses an innovative method of arts education, which facilitates the generation of income and entrance into a highly competitive labour market - Above all, these artistic projects can provide a ray of comfort and pleasure to young people who have often suffered harsh realities growing up - This project can be contacted via email here.
