Núcleo de Atenção à Violência, NAV was first founded in Rio in 1996, and performs clinical psychoanalytical work for children, adolescents and their families, particularly for those involved in domestic violence and in positions of social risk.

Aside from clinical care, the NAV offer spaces for critical and theoretical discussion amongst health, education, social welfare, justice and child protection professionals.

They promote continuous training projects and run community lectures, as well as providing training and supervision to a number of students of psychology in the city - NAV can be contacted via email here.
