Founded in 1986, Casa do Menor São Miguel Arcanjo, works with children, adolescents and young people who are at personal risk, largely through the promotion of family integration.

They meet children on the streets, to offer them an alternative to street-life, such as social programs and re-integration with biological families, and provide them with cultural, vocational and professional training opportunities, in order to empower them in the labour market.

They also run a Basic Health Unit, in Nova Iguaçu geared towards young people and families, which offers disease prevention programs, as well as paediatric, dental, pregnancy and vaccine care, on site and in homes.
