It is home to the Centro Cultural Oduvaldo Vianno Filho, or 'Oduvaldo Vianno Filho Cultural Center', named after the esteemed carioca playwright. Established in 1992, the center showcases a diverse range of exhibitions, poetry readings, literature workshops, debates, seminars, music shows and film screenings. In the Sala Vianinha, or 'Vianinha Room', is an exhibition honoring the patron, with a collection of posters of his most celebrated films and plays. There is also a media library, auditorium, and three small galleries. In summer the beautiful castle is the setting for a series of shows entitled, Verăo Musical no Castelinho, or 'Musical Summer in the Little Castle', in which some of Rio's best musical talent performs each week between January and May, accompanied by refreshments and a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere.
