oi Flamengo is an eclectic cultural space located in the neighborhood of Flamengo, which hosts a museum, visual arts exhibitions, film screenings and theatre productions. It is one of three cultural centers run by Oi Futuro, which selects and showcases state of the art Brazilian talent. The Telecommunications Museum opened in 1918, and was erected in place of the old Estaçao Telefônica Beira-Mar, or 'Coastal Telephone Station', in Flamengo. It is an interactive space which aims to take visitors through the history of forms of telecommunication in Brazil and internationally throughout history. | centro | |||
