at a glance

Situated to the north of the island, moneró is predominantly residential and is considered one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the region - It derives its name from the former owner of the land, Francisco Moneró.

One of the greatest attractions of the neighborhood is the 'sports corridor' which is one of the largest recreational expanses on the island, containing bike paths, sports fields, playgrounds and kiosks.

Praça Papai Noel (Santa Claus Square), is another celebrated local, containing a playground, benches and games tables.

Moneró has its own beach, called praia do dendê, which is partly mangrove, and is a well known fishing spot.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
