villaggio maramar, located on estrada do pontal, 6516 - recreio dos bandeirantes, tel. 21 3411-1029 has room and furnished apartments available for short and long term rentals. both lodging options are right at the beach front, and extremely peaceful. praia da macumba can get quite empty and deserted at night, so we do not recommend visiting after hours to international visitors and/or people without own transportation. there are no public buses going to praia da macumba, thus the best option would be getting to praia do recreio and walk from there (about 30 minute walk) or taking a taxi for about 100 reals from zona sul.
