praia do secreto is a commonly thought of as part of a trifector of three wild beaches located in the depths of the West Zone of the city, called Prainha (Small Beach), Macumba and Secreto (Secret), the latter being nestled cosily between the first two. It can be reached in two ways: the first, and more adventurous, is by walking across Macumba and scrambling across the rocks until one reaches the corner of the secret stretch. the second is by finding a track on the road between Macumba and Prainha beaches which offers a steep descent through stones. Along the trail, and from the beach, one can take in magnificent panoramic sea views.
