The sub-neighborhood does not have much local commerce as it is predominantly residential. There are a few small snack bars and bakeries. There are also two soccer fields and the impressive Praça Lealdina Muniz, or 'Lealdina Muniz Square'. To the north one can find a large mall known as Bangu Shopping, which tends to serve the Rio da Prata sub-neighborhood.
