at a glance

This early morning market offers customers direct contact with suppliers, and with it the privilege of certainty and understanding about the quality and nature of the produce, personal autonomy and involvement in the process of selection, as well as rich and jovial banter with the fishermen.

There is a strong communal atmosphere in the region - residents have formed warm ties with other locals, as well as with the fishermen around whom they congregate.

There is a small eatery called
Peixaria Z-13, or 'Fishmonger Z-13', which is maintained by the local fisherman and sells fresh produce caught each day.

Customers enjoy the seafood delicacies, including a highly esteemed oyster dish, whilst taking in the beautiful sea air and scenic views.   arrow-back      arrow-forward
