The analysis of our sample showed that the average income of the slum dwellers would not allow us to consider them poor in income, although they may well be considered poor in freedom, or even, located in the threshold of extreme poverty in this regard. More than that, the present research showed that violence crosses almost all of the institutions and actions of the slum dwellers, permeating friendships, in such a way that even traditional social capital, the greatest form of richness in the slum, is being eroded by violence.
