at a glance

There are numerous recreational areas for children, sports courts, blossoming gardens, a pond and sculptures, including one of the famous Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer.

The district of Leblon borders the neighborhood of vidigal, which has recently become one of the chicest and most gentrified favelas in Brazil - Wealthy buyers, including a number of celebrities, have recently purchased property on the hill top.

in fact, Europeans and Americans in particular have fallen in love with the beautiful views of the city that the privileged spot offers. there is an impressive number of high-end pousadas, or 'inns', and hotels located in the region, as well as small restaurants, bars and night-parties that are very popular among international guests.

The jardim de alá(Garden of Allah), is a small park located between the districts of Ipanema and Leblon - It was named after the 1936 movie of the same name which was very popular at the time.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
