churrasco's usually have plenty of beer provided and mouth-watering pieces of pork sausage, beef ribs, filet mignon, sirloin steak, chicken hearts, lamb, et cetera - churrascos actually have quite a unique history that began with the cowboys or 'gaúchos', from the southern region of brazil which saw a large influx of european immigrants arriving in the 19th-century.

they brought with them their rural experience of working on farms and would break for lunch by roasting 'carne' on large skewers directly into fire-pits - this technique gradually spread throughout the entire country and was transferred into restaurants as well.

so much spirits and great food also require great music which is why pagode  is usually played - considering how the samba-esque style originated in rio de janeiro, carioca's believe that an authentic churrasco is simply not complete without pagode.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
