at a glance
Ireland and brazil have diplomatic relations since 1975, but it was the opening of embassies in Dublin in 1991 and Brasilia in 2001 that made these relations flourish faster.

Several visits of chiefs of state to both countries since the end of the XX century made the relationship between these two countries of special importance to support politics to combat the world economic crisis while maintaining social inclusion.

Ireland has no consulate in Rio de Janeiro, but has one in São Paulo and is represented by an embassy in Brasília, reachable via email here.
