the nelson piquet international autodrome, or jacaregua, opened in rio de janeiro in 1977 - named after the famous brazilian formula one racer, it held ten formula one grand prix races. last utilized for official events in 1989, jacaregua was demoslished in 2012 due to the anticipated construction of 2016 olympic games facilities.
