at a glance
on week-ends and holidays there is no need to change trains when going or returning to copacabana or ipanema s eeing as normally line 2 trains ends at the botafogo station and travelers need to wait on the same track for a line 1 train that would continue to copacabana and ipanema. importantly, when changing trains at the botafogo station travelers can just wait on the same track for the next train displaying 'ipanema general osório,' - however, at the central station and the estácio station the change is done at a different part of the station. if looking to travel by train to the outskirts of the city of rio where the metrô lines do not extend to, trasfers can be made at the central station where the supervia stops are located.   arrow-back      arrow-forward
