at a glance
during week-days, between 6 am and 9 am, and between 5 pm and 8 pm, there is one portion of each subway train accessible to women only - this is easy to spot since the whole car is painted in pink, and male travelers are not allowed on these cars during these times.

some stations also offer docks for bicycles, so that travelers can leave their bicycles free of charge in a safe area inside the subway station and pick them up later - a list of stations offering this bicycle service is posted on this link.

there are three types of tickets: normal/single use, integraçăo, and pré-pago (refillable card) - there are also 'special event' tickets.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
