the landmark has become particularly famous as a site that offers visitors some of the most incredible and varied panoramas, all from one twist of the head - ranging from christ the redeemer on corcovado to the sugar loaf, the copacabana fort and the city beaches.  

during and after sunset, a gorgeous view of the ocean, the mountains and of the favela of vidigal, are a treat not to be missed. access to this small park has been made easier via paved paths, leading all the way to the top of the rock, complete with a small square and two benches, perfect for resting and taking in the stunning views and natural beauty of the city.
