in order to reach the summit of sugar loaf mountain it is necessary to take two cable-cars, one which runs to the summit of morro da urca which stands at 220 meters, before catching the second car which climbs to the top of sugar loaf's dazziling heights.  

passengers are able to take advantage of 360-degree views of the surrounding area - christ the redeemer can be seen in the distance, along with copacabana beach, the dois irmãos, pedra da gávea, the cagarras islands, the morro da urca, botafogo bay, flamengo park, glória, the center of town.
