the beach has a few kiosks, bars, restaurants, and life guards on duty.  transport to the beach from the island's port is either via horse carriage, bicycle, or quadracycles.

while their water is not always suitable for swimming, the beaches of paquetá, and in particular praia da moreninha, should be high on a visitor's list of things to see in rio.

blessed with a direct view of the island of brocoió, praia da moreninha is the ideal beach for a romantic day, to listen to music, or to relax and read a book.
