at a glance
many lookout points along the way offer spectacular views such as the pedra da tartaruga, between praia dois búzios and praia do perigoso, and the even higher pedra do telégrafo between praia do meio e praia funda.

while the first portion of the trail is not particularly difficult, it becomes increasingly challenging after each beach. hiking to the beaches might be harder and more time consuming than reaching them via boat, but it rewards some spectacular views of pedra da gávea, pedra da tartaruga, the surrounding hills, the vegetation, the ocean, and the islands in the area.        arrow-back     arrow-forward
