joatinga beach has fine white sands, clean waters light blue and green, strong waves, and some rocks on the side. during periods of high tide most of the sand gets covered by the water, and only the nearby rocks would be available to enjoy the beach. powerful waves make of this beach a favorite spot among surfers, wake boarders, and body boarders, however there are no lifeguards on duty and only experienced surfers should practice here.
