when going by boat, water conditions do not always allow to disembark as waves can be quite strong on these beaches. once at praia barra de guaratiba, local hiking guides and/or small boats can be hired on location. guides are recommended also because there are many turns on the trail that lead to rocks without any beach areas. the trail starts from praia barra de guaratiba and connect these untouched beaches in this order: praia dos búzios, praia do perigoso, praia do meio, praia funda, and praia do inferno.
