praia funda is reachable via a 45 minutes hike along 300 meters of trail from the praia do meio. along the way, it is also possible to reach the top of the pedra do telégrafo (hill of the telegraph), a hill nearly 400 meters high (1,300 ft) that rewards hikers with some spectacular views of the coast. the trail between praia do meio e praia funda is more demanding than the previous part of the trail. a cord secured to the rock helps hikers descend to praia funda - this is feasible even by non experienced hikers in good physical shape, however this stretch of the trail is considered demanding.
