while praia recôncavo is in need of restoration, the better areas of the beach show how praia recôncavo great potential. not far from the shore, near the end of the beach close to praia de sepetiba, there is a statue for yemanjá, a deity of several afro-brazilian religions. there is also a bicycle path along the beach, along with some kiosks serving basic snacks. this area is not normally visited by international tourists.
