also in february, historical carnival festivities are revived during a parade of antique cars in copacabana -  pra fazer cultura - prafac sponsors this interesting show and reenacts confetti and flower battles.

this one-day celebration culminates with the sea bathing in elaborate costumes that was typical of the carnivals dating back to the early twentieth century - this parade goes from noon to about 6 pm.
