the race is divided in 5 stages - one stage per day, ranging in difficulty and length. Climbing peaks and curving down mountains are just some of the challenges comprised in this tour, and for every stage there is a winner - The athlete who sums up the most points in each phase and comes in first on the last one, will be named the champion and given the characteristic yellow shirt. part of the fun are also the celebrations organized at the different locations to entertain the crows. This event is especially important given Rio's determination to promote cycling and sustainability - Rio is one of the cities with the most bike-routes in Latin America. | january | |||
