Created in 2003, Dança em Foco - The International Festival of Video and Dance is an international exhibition of art forms which fuse video with dance - In 2015, as it entered its 13th edition, it continues to raise awareness of the expressive potential that arises from the relationship between dance and technology.

It includes performances, installations, exhibitions, multimedia shows, workshops, short courses, lectures and debates - Events take place across the city, with key events hosted at Teatro de Maison de France, the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) and the Teatro Cacilda Becker.

The organizers have also published books bringing together widely renowned thinkers in contemporary dance and technology - They have circulated the world, hosting road shows and showcasing some of the key talent from the exhibitions.

Dança em Foco offers a wonderful opportunity for two artistic forms of expression to intertwine in a way that challenges conventional perceptions of choreography and performance - in 2015, The Festival was open for registration until mid February.
