One of the artistic collectives to have received support from the program is Manguinhos em Cena (Manguinhos in Scene), a theatre group which receives acting, scriptwriting and cultural management classes.

In January of 2015 Favela Criativa ran its first fair, in which 40 cultural initiatives were showcased at the collective's headquarters in the center of the city. Each of the selected projects received R$50,000 to invest in their projects, many of which had received no prior funding.

The Fábrica De Arte Cidadania (FAC) (Citizenship Art Factory) uses art and design as a means to tackle social, cultural and economic problems, offering young people means of self-expression and tangible skills to take with them through life.
