Amongst the native wildlife are broad-snouted caiman, penguins, pythons, capybara, owls, robins, woodpeckers, opossums, and lizards. One can also find turtles and alligators in the park, who are temporarily looked after on rescue missions, before being reintroduced into the wild in the park.

In 2013, the park installed the Bicho Fama (Famous Animal) - a replica of the Hollywood sidewalk, where the distinguished residents of the park have their presence immortalized by paved paws. The park runs guided tours as well as courses, lectures and workshops in drawing and painting.
