at a glance

located right on tubiacanga beach, this popular hangout straddles the strip between bar and restaurant. the place has a charming nautical theme, decorated with anchors, mesh nets, rudders, and boats, among other trinkets. all of it works together to create a pleasing and cozy atmosphere for diners.

capitania dos copos is open tuesday to sunday from eleven until midnight, so there's plenty of time to get in some last rays of sunlight before grabbing a bite to eat. there is even a pier for ships to moor their boats nearby, and the restaurant recently began a take-out service to further accommodate their visitors.

the surrounding area is very woodsy and quaint, without large buildings anywhere to be seen, only charming residential homes. there are two local athletic centers in the neighborhood, including the flexeira atletico clube and the bandeirantes football club. the main reference point for the neighborhood, however, is the old church, the igreja de são Sebastião, constructed in 1957. arrow-back      arrow-forward
