As a result of transformations in the course of construction, it has become important to analyze the urban landscape of this region, which will be dramatically altered. The intention is to present and examine the impacts of the transformation of the center of the Taquara district, including land use and occupation, and the possible creation of new strategic hubs for the city, which will serve as a model to other district centers affected by TransCarioca and other road corridors under study. Presented by the  Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, the study Arborização viária e conflitos com equipamentos urbanos no bairro da Taquara, RJ -  Conflicts between arborized roads and urban facilities in Taquara, RJ, by Rodrigo Camara de Souza and Danielle Pereira Cintra, aims to evaluate the occurrence of conflicts between street arborization and urban facilities in Taquara, RJ. The quali-quantitative inventory carried out in 10% of the streets in the area showed that there were not any trees in 11.1% of the streets. The presence of 242 trees were observed, members of 41 different species. The fact that 70.2% of this total presented at least one type of conflict with urban facilities, demonstrated the necessity to develop appropriate planning for public arborization in the area.
