at a glance

The neighborhood of Campo Grande, which translates as 'Big Field', underwent extensive developments in the second half of the 20th century - Particularly during the 1960s and 1970s, a lot of urban infrastructure was built to expand the residential and industrial regions.

The new breadth of these smaller residential areas led residents and authorities to divide the wider area into sub-neighborhoods and give each one a name, with its own geographic landmarks, significant enough that public transport and services could be organized around them.

The residential area known as Bairro Adriana is one of these smaller sub-sections of Campo Grande. It was built during the 1970s, and covers the area between Estrada da Posse, or 'Posession Road' and Morro da Posse, or 'Possession Hill' - The plans for the area contained several separate zones, one of which was Jardim Novo Horizonte, which translates as 'New Horizon Garden'. arrow-back     arrow-forward
