It is a tranquil area, surrounded by greenery and blessed with bucolic air. Unlike surrounding regions, it does not have much commerce and at the heart of the sub-neighborhood is Praça Edmundo Bittencourt, or 'Edmundo Bittencourt Square', which has a well-known and pleasant fountain.

Around the Praça are several local buildings, including the Jucati Hotel, and across the rest of the neighborhood are other hotels and a couple of bakeries. At its southeastern edge is Shopping Cidade Copacabana, or 'Copacabana City Shopping', where local stores are concentrated. Beside it is a social work institution connected to the Copacabana Parish.
