at a glance

Silvestre refers to a Rio de Janeiro city neighborhood, located in the center of the Marvelous City near a series of hillsides, including the famed Corcovado, as well as Dona Marta and Sumaré.

It is also close to the metrô station of the same name, where the former 'bondinho,' or tram car would make its route along to the Corcovado and the cristo redentor, or the Christ Statue, another crucial tourist stop in Rio de Janeiro - Unfortunately the tram car has since stopped running its well-known path.

The naturally beautiful surroundings and stunning views freckling the hillsides make this an easy place for residents to use their leisure time outdoors - Many people who live in Silvestre spend time practicing outdoor sports like mountaineering and cycling, or they may simply stroll the idyllic streets. arrow-back     arrow-forward
